Creating a living environment that protects things that you value the most whether its your comfort, quality of life, financial stability, or future of your children and grandchildren.

WynTec’s Vision

WynTec views a Sustainable Lifestyle as one that lives in concert with the environment around us, not just Mother Nature but family, friends, and the community. As technology has enabled us to source our food, water, and creature comforts from just about every corner of the globe we sometimes become too dependent on what it offers us.

As I reflect back on my childhood and my life at the “Cabin” I’ve come to realize home is what we make it. I have fond memories of my mother showing my sisters and I how to be most efficient at picking wild blueberries off the low lying bushes spread out in the openings between the pines. Picking them was always a chore, especially when it seemed to take forever to fill the quart container even half way up. Of course there’s nothing more satisfying than alternating between the pail and my mouth. The best part of this experience was helping my mother make the pie, from scratch, and baked in the cast iron wood fired range. Talk about sweetness, fresh wild blueberries baked in a flaky crust, its still engrained in my memories.

Now as I’m older having spent my career as an engineer I see the connection between technology, my living environment, and what Mother Nature has to offer. Leveraging the best of each creating an environment that buffers me from the on again, off again availability of availability and cost of what I desire is valuable. It affords me the opportunity to “sustain” my lifestyle, my future, and help provide a world where my children can prosper.

To this end I’ve created a company that touches four key areas:

  • Reducing our Energy Demand
    • Through improved insulation, air sealing, low energy appliances, lighting, and high efficiency, low energy heating systems
  • Solar arrays, wind turbines, hydro-generation systems
  • High Efficiency, Low Energy heating systems
    • GeoThermal heat pump systems running off electricity produced from renewable resources
  • Permanent Agriculture
    • The conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive ecosystems which have the diversity, stability, and resilience of natural ecosystems. It is the harmonious integration of landscape and people providing their food, energy, shelter, and other material and non-material needs in a sustainable way. Without permanent agriculture there is no possibility of a stable social order.
